Turtles are suited for print assembly as they are equipped with special soldering terminals to raise them from the printing board.

One of the latest product releases from Danotherm is the so-called "Turtle", - a wire-wound power resistor developed particularly for print assembly.

Due to heat from the resistor it is equipped with special soldering terminals to make a distance to the printing board, this makes the turtle most suited for print assembly. It can either be used as a minor brake resistor or as a charge resistor with short impulses, e.g. in connection with frequency converters.

Turtles come in seven different sizes to absorb from 40 to 110 Watt, which covers basically all needs. All sizes are produced in either cemented or enamelled versions for humid surroundings.

The turtles are adapted to the individual customer's needs by use of thermal models.
