Type HSH
The HSH is a large surface aluminium housed resistor which disposes of heat without the use of additional heat sink. It is well suited as a heating element or for dehumidifying purposes.
The HSH heating element in enclosed electrical equipment is efficient under special conditions such as vibration. The aluminium profile reaches a low temperature in proportion with the power dissipated.

Power resistor
The graph shows the surface temperature and the hot spot temperature (< 220°C) compared to the load at an ambient temperature of 25°C by natural convection.
The wattage range is proportionally reduced at higher ambient temperature due to hot spot temperature < 220°C.
For forced air cooling please ask for further information.

Heating element
The table demonstrates the standard power range at 25°C ambient temperature. It also indicates the corresponding power at 70°C ambient. Surface temperature rises are by natural convection.
The surface temperature is given as the sum of the ambient temperature and the temperature rise. The deep red bars indicate the power range.
