Quality management is a natural part in the concept of Danotherm. It is incorporated in a way that the most important part of quality management is built on self-control.
Each single resistor is measured and controlled before dispatch. Also, a visual check is performed.
The entire control process is incorporated at every step in the production to ensure the highest level of quality.
The RoHS directive is short for "Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This directive bans the placing of hazardous electrical and electronic equipment products on the EU market. It is designed to protect human life as well as nature and wildlife.
Danotherm has studied the RoHS directive 2002/95/EC and the update 2011/65/EC in detail and make sure that our orders for raw materials require compliancy.
Danotherm Electric A/S is fully aware of the requirements of the REACH directive EC 1907/2006. As the list of SVHC substances is updated twice a year, we will provide the relevant information according to Article 33 to our customers - if required.
It is our intention that nobody should experience any problems with the supply of our products.
UL is the trusted source across the globe for product compliance. Benefiting a range of customers - from manufacturers and retailers to consumers and regulating bodies - UL have tested products for public safety for more than a century.
Almost the whole range of resistors from the Alpha series are approved to UL 508 (E208678). Please consult Danotherm for further information.
There has been increased awareness of violence and human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals from a location described as the “Conflict Region”, which is situated in the eastern portion of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries. Companies around the globe have been requested to practice reasonable due diligence with their supply chain to assure that specified metals are not being sourced from mines in the Conflict Region, which is controlled by non-government military groups, or unlawful military factions. Danotherm Electric A/S supports this initiative.
Danotherm operates under a quality management system certified by OTIS to comply with the level 3 requirements of the quality program QPLUS for supplier evaluation. This qualification is the base for a partnership cooperation and for achieving excellent product quality. QPLUS “Commitment to excellence” is a quality management system, used by the United Technologies companies Carrier, Sikorsky and OTIS.
Both the structure and focus of QPLUS is similar to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. Our QMS system is written in accordance with ISO 9001 and supplemented with the extra requirements of the QPLUS system and other customer requirements. The system is continuously updated to assure that we improve the effectiveness of our quality management system and the value-adding activities.
In our production we focus on a process approach and verification of the quality status throughout the production plus traceability of the products. This is also imposed on suppliers who work on our behalf to satisfy the needs of our customers.
