WHB

Danotherm WHB resistors are medium-power liquid cooled resistors. The liquid can be either freshwater or water/glycol mixture.

WHB resistors feature an anodized aluminum housing with gaskets. The housing varies in length from 300 to 1000 mm. The resistor is fitted with three steel tube resistor elements that contain the active resistor wire. The tubes are filled with magnesium oxide with excellent electrical and thermal properties. A coolant inlet/outlet is on the rear side of the housing.

The electrical connection can be done directly on the three resistor tube elements. The terminals can be either M8 lugs or threaded M6 rods, depending on the resistance value and the current. Optionally, a connection box with IP65 protection rating is available.

Power ratings for WHB resistors range from 6 to 23 kW. The working voltages are 1000 VAC / 1400 VDC. Depending on the resistance value, the resistors can handle up to four times the nominal power rating for a 5-second pulse/120s.

The standard resistance tolerance is ±10%. Other tolerances as ±5% or ±3% are available on request.
